This directory is the result of a classification and selection of online data, in particular from the DARE Database on social science, peace and human rights of the UNESCO.
	It follows the United Nations classification of geographical (sub)regions from 15/12/2005.
	The databank has 5 chapters related to the continents and each chapter is divided into subchapters related to the continental sub-regions. Each subchapter provides a list of peace institutions for each country ordered alphabetically. For Northern America the data are also classified according to the list of the cities in which they are located.
	When few specific data for a country were available, institutions on related topics are included.
